Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this technical era, people get whatever they want with the click of a botton; Therefore, a small section of society belives the availability of newses or e- books on internet for free will replace the usage of newspapers and printed books. However, I largely agree with this notion due to some reasons which would be elaborated in the upcoming paragraphs. Initiating with reasons why individualswill going to use only online reading sources. The primary reason is online reading or listening newses are pocket friendly; moreover, people will not need to spend even a single penny for reading. another prominat reason is the e- books are environment friendly, people will not going to cut the trees for paper production which directly contributes to save the environment and the little part of biodiversity. Furthermore, in this modern era people are becoming more busy day by day and, they will not have proper time to buy books or newspapers for reading. therfore it will much more convinient because they read at any where at any time or they can listen the story or news online while doing their work and who are illitrates will also get benefit. Nevertheless, some individuals are keen to read the textbooks or newspapers to read without any distractions like, notifications and online advertisements due which they loose their intrest and might face difficulty in reading. Additionally, reading online is also affect their physical and mental well being because, all the information available on the social ,edia is not completely right due to which false information can affects the individual's mental condition and the harmfull rays emittes from the screen will damage their eye .So, the health conscious people will not solely read books online. To conclude, although the demand of online reading will be increased by leaps and bounds, it will not completely replace the paper books or newspapers to get certified information as well as to live happily without any fear.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you largely agree that free online material will reduce demand for printed publications, while acknowledging that print may remain useful. You address relevant reasons, including cost, environmental impact and convenience, and you also mention distractions and concerns about online information and screen use. This covers the main parts of the question. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the claim that busy people will not have time to buy books could be developed by explaining how digital access saves time. The counterargument about reliable information is also not clearly connected to why readers would choose printed sources. More specific explanation and examples would make the argument more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs, a counterargument and a conclusion. The progression from affordability and environmental benefits to convenience, then to disadvantages of online reading, is generally understandable. You also use signposts such as “Furthermore,” “Nevertheless” and “To conclude.” At times, however, these links feel mechanical, and some sentences contain several ideas without clear relationships. The long sentence beginning “Furthermore, in this modern era” combines busyness, convenience and benefits for people who cannot read, making the progression difficult to follow. Paragraphing is also weakened by inconsistent spacing and punctuation. Organise each paragraph around one main point and use clearer references to connect supporting explanations.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “environment friendly,” “biodiversity,” “distractions,” “certified information” and “mental well being.” This gives you enough language to discuss both benefits and drawbacks, and the intended meaning is usually recoverable. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, such as “botton,” “newses,” “prominat,” “illitrates” and “harmfull rays emittes.” Some phrases also do not express the intended idea precisely: “the little part of biodiversity” and “live happily without any fear” are unclear in this context. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for technology and publishing. More precise wording would make your argument easier to understand and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “although” and “which.” This shows some range, and the overall meaning can generally be followed. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries. Examples include “individualswill going to use,” “people will not going to cut,” and “reading online is also affect their physical and mental well being.” The sentence beginning “Nevertheless” also runs several ideas together, with punctuation that obscures the relationships between them. Practise building accurate clauses before combining them, and check subject–verb agreement and verb patterns. Using a few shorter, correctly punctuated sentences would improve clarity while preserving variety.
