Student answer (Band 5.0)

some people think that in future nobady will buy printed newspaper or books because they will able to read everything online wiyhout paying.

On one side , internet make things very easy for us. everyone nowadays seems very busy .Even they dont have enough time to see the news.Almost every news publisher agency are now on internet .They provid free of cost newspaper to everyone .so people can read the news every where anywhere in the world. The can read the news online where they are intrested. Online e books are also avalible for them .In this way students and reserchers can read the books free of cost. publishers of books or news agency are now on internet to connect directly with there viewers or clinents. This is good way we can accsess anything online free of cost .For example if professor asked his student they should reserch on How cybersecurity is useful and helpul for us .So student can simple serch on google and read content realetd to cybersecurity .In this way he can save his money and time and also he can reserche all of this even at home rather at library or in diffrent places .

on other side , even we can easily read newpaper online .There are also people who preffer read printed newspaper rather than online. In pakistan there are many people who start there day with reading printed news paper .Even at workplace ,office or even at barber shop there are printed news paper for costuner so they spend there free time with newpaper.

In conculsion, it is very good that we should read newspaper online it safe time and money

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the topic by presenting benefits of online reading and noting that some people still prefer printed newspapers, with examples from students and Pakistani workplaces. However, the response does not clearly state how far you agree or disagree with the prediction that printed books and newspapers will disappear. The conclusion says online reading is good, but does not resolve whether print will remain or explain your overall position. Several points are relevant but under-developed: for example, the claim that publishers provide free newspapers online is treated as universal, and the cybersecurity example mainly explains convenience rather than whether print will be replaced. State your position directly and support it with balanced, specific reasons about both formats.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure, moving from online-reading advantages to continued use of print and then a conclusion. The contrast signposts “On one side” and “on other side” help readers recognise the two viewpoints. However, progression within paragraphs is not always clear: the first paragraph shifts from busy people to publishers, students, researchers and a professor’s assignment without consistently linking each point to the central prediction. Some connections are repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “In this way” and “free of cost.” Paragraphing is also limited, with the opening and first main argument running together. Use separate paragraphs for the introduction, each main argument and conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one clear point with more precise linking.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate basic ideas, including “printed newspaper,” “online,” “publishers,” “researchers” and “workplace.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “cybersecurity” and “connect directly with their viewers.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “free of cost,” “read the news” and “online.” Frequent spelling errors, including “nobady,” “intrested,” “avalible” and “conculsion,” make the writing less clear and reduce accuracy. Some word choices are also unnatural, such as “news publisher agency” and “printed news paper.” Build a wider set of accurate expressions for access, cost, convenience and reader preferences, and proofread spelling and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if professor asked his student,” and you use contrastive structures to introduce opposing views. However, the range is limited, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in “internet make things very easy,” “agency are now on internet” and “they will able to read.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also frequently missing or inaccurate, as in “if professor asked his student” and the run-on sequence beginning “So student can simple serch.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the meaning. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and complete sentence boundaries before adding more complex structures.
