Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays with rapidly developing world,The technology industry is also developing rapidly & with the delopment of Ai which completely revolutionized the tech industry as well as the world people are shifting to online for their favourite books and the trend of newspaper is greatly declining due to electronic media. In this essay i will discuss that why i partially agree with this statement.
By partially agree means that to some extent the staement is true ,People are shifting online everyone has their own phone they can search whatever they want,If they want their favourite book they can just search and get their favourite book without paying a penny. This also saves time by getting your favourite book in minutes,Another factor is that there are mostly free copies available on internet which you can get for free .As far as newspaper are concerned the trend is declining due to electronic media and internet.People prefer to get realtime updates instead of reading the whole newspaper, hence saving money and time as well.
While the online books can be readily accessed but the physical books will survive as collector items as well as reducing screen fatigue. The major issue is copyrights pirated copies being sold online at almost half price which causes heavy losses to aurthors.Another issue is that not everything online is free there are subscription you have to buy which are comapred to physical books are much expensive.
while the digital platform will continue to advance due to their convenience,But the printng media will never disappear completely.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you partially agree that free online access will reduce demand for print, but you believe printed books and newspapers will not disappear entirely. You address both sides with relevant points, including convenience, rapid news updates, collector value, screen fatigue, copyright concerns, and paid subscriptions. This covers the task, but some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that subscriptions are more expensive than physical books would benefit from a clear comparison or example, and the point about copyright losses is not fully connected to whether people will buy print. Develop these links and explain more directly how each reason affects future purchasing to make the argument more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting online reading, a paragraph explaining why print may remain, and a concluding position. This helps the reader follow your main argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt, and connectors such as “Another factor,” “As far as,” and “Another issue” can make the writing feel like a list rather than a connected discussion. The opening paragraph also combines several ideas in one long sentence, while the final paragraph is very brief. Use clearer topic sentences, divide complex points into manageable sentences, and add links that show how each example supports your position. More precise referencing would also help connect claims across sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “electronic media,” “real-time updates,” “screen fatigue,” “collector items,” and “subscription.” These choices communicate the main ideas and show attempts to use topic-specific language. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “delopment,” “staement,” “aurthors,” and “comapred,” and some phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “the trend of newspaper” and “search and get their favourite book.” Repeated use of “favourite,” “free,” and “online” also limits flexibility. Check spelling carefully and practise natural collocations, such as “newspaper readership is declining” and “access a digital copy,” to express your ideas more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “While” and a reason linked with “due to.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems make parts difficult to read. For example, “By partially agree means” has an incorrect verb pattern, and “there are subscription you have to buy” has problems with number and sentence structure. Several sentences run together with commas or lack appropriate sentence boundaries, particularly in the opening and second paragraph. Practise forming accurate clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and singular/plural forms. Breaking long sentences into shorter, correctly punctuated units would improve control and clarity.
