Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You address the topic and attempt to present both agreement and disagreement, but your position is difficult to identify. The opening says, “I extend the para do agree and disagree,” and the body does not clearly explain whether you think printed books and newspapers will disappear. You offer relevant points about mobile access, cost and possible disadvantages to the eyes, but these ideas are repeated or left unclear rather than explained with specific support. The response also falls 7 words short of the 250-word minimum; the 11 words copied from the task prompt are not included in the count. To strengthen the response, state your view directly in the introduction and develop each main reason with a clear explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, a paragraph beginning “First,” and a contrasting paragraph beginning “on the other hand.” These markers help signal a basic structure. However, ideas within the paragraphs are difficult to follow and do not progress clearly: the first body paragraph moves between mobile-phone access, social media, reading and saving time or money, with several points repeated. The relationship between the claim that phones are convenient and the later claim that they have disadvantages is also not made clear. Use one paragraph for each main reason, arrange its explanation and example in a logical order, and use pronouns or linking phrases that make the connections between sentences explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits how precisely you can express your ideas. Words and phrases such as “mobile phone,” “news paper,” “use,” and “everything” recur frequently, and some combinations are unclear, including “the mobile can use every time” and “less advantage.” This makes it hard to understand exactly what you mean in places, even though the general topic remains recognisable. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases and use them to distinguish ideas such as online access, printed publications, cost and eye strain. Check spelling and word forms as well: “disgree” and “wasye” are errors, and “newspaper” is normally written as one word.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The response relies mainly on short, simple statements, and frequent problems with sentence structure and verb forms make several ideas difficult to understand. For example, “the printed news paper and books can't buy the people” has an unclear subject and word order, while “I am agree” uses an incorrect verb pattern. Articles and agreement are also inconsistent, as in “the mobile phone can use easy the study.” There is an attempt to connect ideas with “because” and “and,” but these links often produce incomplete or run-on sentences. Practise building complete subject–verb sentences first, then add a reason or example using a correctly formed clause. More accurate control of basic patterns is needed before relying on longer sentences.
