Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response is relevant to the topic and gives a partial position: “technology effect negativley on the individuals life” suggests you disagree that online reading is wholly beneficial. You also identify a reason people may choose websites—convenience compared with going to a library—and mention the time and money involved in obtaining printed material. However, the essay does not clearly answer the prediction about whether printed newspapers and books will disappear, or address the claim that online material will be free. The ideas are only briefly introduced, with no developed examples or counterargument, and the response ends mid-thought. It is also 111 words below the required minimum. To strengthen the response, state your degree of agreement directly and develop several reasons with specific support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening introduces technology and printed sources, and “In one hand” signals a move towards a supporting reason. The reader can follow the general topic, but the progression is limited because the first paragraph combines several ideas without a clear focus, while the second begins a comparison and then stops before completing it. The phrase “to give an exemple” promises support that is not provided. Linking expressions such as “In addition” and “however” are present, but their relationships are not always clearly expressed. Use separate paragraphs for your position, each main reason, and a conclusion; then connect each point explicitly and complete the comparison or example you introduce.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “websites,” “library,” “books,” “newspaper,” and “sources of data,” so the subject is generally recognisable. There are also attempts to express comparison and cause, such as “main sources” and “require a time and money.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, including “increasely,” “dispense,” “prespective,” and “informations.” Some combinations are unnatural, for example “the now technology phone” and “get informations from.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and use a wider range of terms such as “digital platforms,” “printed publications,” and “access information online.” Proofreading spelling and choosing the correct form of each word would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, including a relative clause in “the information which you are looking for.” However, control is inconsistent, and several sentence boundaries and grammatical patterns make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “which makes some people believe that can lead” is a fragment with an unclear subject, while “the new generation spend” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening also runs several ideas together, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and punctuation. For instance, divide the opening into shorter sentences and ensure that each one expresses a complete idea.
