In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that in the upcoimg time people will not purchase traditional newspaper as they will be able to get free access online for every news. This essay will outline the main arguements supporting thi trend with justifications and relevant examples, before summarizing my final opinion in the end and as far as i'm concerned, I completely agree with this view.
First and foremost, there are main reason is that an individuals can easily read different kind of content in online platform, according to their preference, which features are not available in physical newspaper. This is because many writer's publish their reports in online websites instead of physical newspaper as it has fixed amount of pages and it is conveineint to find the information through online. As a result, fewer peole are willing to pay for physical newspaper.
Another reason is that people are concern about environment protection, which means that physical newspaper requires pages which we get from the cutting down of the tree. if we use electronic newspaper, it can mitigate deforestation. Therefore, for enviromentalist it has the best benifits. For example,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear position—“I completely agree”—and give two relevant reasons: online access offers more choice, and digital reading may reduce paper use. However, the response addresses the task only partially. The prompt concerns both printed newspapers and books, and whether people will be able to read everything online without paying; your discussion focuses almost entirely on newspapers and does not examine books or the claim about free access in enough detail. The environmental point is relevant but ends without the promised example, and the conclusion is cut off. The response is also 45 words below the required minimum. Develop each reason with a specific explanation or example and address both types of printed material.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: an introduction is followed by two reason paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “First and foremost,” “Another reason,” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages. However, progression is weakened by an introduction that promises to outline and summarise rather than directly setting up the argument, and by the unfinished example and conclusion. The second body paragraph ends with “For example,” but supplies no example, leaving the idea incomplete. Some linking is mechanical, and the final sentence trails off at “more t”. Use a clear topic sentence for each paragraph, connect each explanation to its supporting detail, and ensure every paragraph and the conclusion are complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “free access,” “physical newspaper,” “online websites,” and “deforestation,” so the reader can identify your main points. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “upcoimg time,” “main arguements,” “conveineint,” and “benifits”; “every news” and “cutting down of the tree” are also awkward expressions. Repetition of “physical newspaper” and “online” limits flexibility. Build a more precise range for discussing publishing and access, and check spelling and common word partnerships. For instance, use “digital publications” and “access content free of charge” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a relative clause in “which means that…”. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “there are main reason is that” has faulty sentence structure, while “an individuals can” shows a mismatch between determiner and noun. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “different kind of content” and the lowercase “if” after a full stop. The final sentence is incomplete. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and checking articles, singular/plural forms, and punctuation before adding more complex clauses.
