Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a clear overall position by saying you “strongly agree,” and you give relevant reasons, including affordability for people from poorer backgrounds and the convenience of accessing information online. However, the response only partially develops the task. The claim that online sources are free is accepted without examining whether all books and newspapers will actually be available without payment, and the point about traditional media being manipulated is not clearly connected to the prediction that printed material will disappear. Your conclusion also shifts towards preserving print, saying we “should not let” it finish, which conflicts with your earlier agreement. Explain your position consistently and develop each reason with a specific example or explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to organise the response using “Firstly,” “Additionally,” “Moreover,” and “To sum up,” and the ideas are broadly related to online and printed reading. However, the progression is difficult to follow: the opening combines several claims, the paragraph beginning “There are several reason” breaks off, and the conclusion is followed by another point beginning “However.” This makes the ending feel unfinished and weakens the overall structure. Some links are also unclear, such as how online research establishes authenticity or how search engines “took gain knowledge” from printed sources. Use clear paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion, and ensure each sentence connects logically to the one before it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary such as “purchasing power,” “traditional way,” “authenticity,” and “online resources,” showing some ability to discuss the subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “platefor,” “availibility,” “infromations,” and “addictive,” while phrases such as “injecting in our brain and veins” and “took gain knowledge” are unclear or unnatural in this context. Use precise collocations and check spelling and word forms. For instance, describe people as becoming “increasingly reliant on technology,” and refer to “accessing information online” rather than “getting informations.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a reason introduced by “because” and a contrast introduced by “However.” Nevertheless, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Examples include “It will going to be,” “There are several reason,” and “newspaper and books will going to replaced.” Some sentences are fragments or run together, as in “strongly agree with statement,” while punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent. These problems sometimes make the intended meaning hard to follow. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement and use one clear main clause in each sentence.
