Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a clear position—“I agree”—and give two relevant reasons: online access can make news and books available without payment, and digital reading can reduce paper use. However, the response addresses the task only partially. The reasons are asserted rather than explained with specific examples, and the claim that nobody will buy printed material is not examined in any depth; for instance, you do not consider why some people may continue to prefer printed books or newspapers. The final point about making digital copies is also left unfinished. The response is 74 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your argument. Extend each reason and support your position with clearer explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to organise the response around two reasons, and the phrases “on the other hand” and “Besides this” show an effort to connect ideas. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow: “on the other hand” is used to introduce a supporting point rather than a contrasting one, and the second paragraph begins with a similar transition without clearly establishing a new stage in the argument. Several ideas run together, while the final sentence stops at “by this way we,” leaving the conclusion incomplete. Use separate, clearly focused paragraphs for your position, each supporting reason, and a conclusion. Choose linking expressions according to the relationship between ideas and make sure each paragraph develops one main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “browsing,” “websites,” “multiple copies,” and “hard drive,” so the reader can identify your main subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning less natural, such as “easily approached by online,” “news channel are publishing,” and “paper demands will be less.” Spelling errors—including “beacuse,” “accees,” and “relavnt”—also occur often enough to distract the reader. Aim for accurate topic-specific phrases such as “access content online,” “news outlets publish articles,” and “demand for paper declines.” Proofreading spelling and choosing natural collocations will make your ideas clearer and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example, “we can easily read news … because of browsing.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors in sentence formation and grammatical patterns are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. Examples include “In advanced world,” “Many forest and tress will saved,” and “we can easily make multiple copies … in second.” There are also problems with articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries, while the final clause is incomplete. Practise building accurate sentences with a subject and verb, and check articles and verb forms—for example, “many trees will be saved.” Then combine ideas using a controlled range of clauses.
