In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the future people people will not be spending money to buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to ready everything they want on the internet without paying. Although that with they rapid growth of internet in our societies today will make the accesability of newspapers or books easy for people to use in the future, but disagree to this statement that it will stops people from buying printed newspapers or books because is schools will always be giving there students printed books to read in schools and students also needed books to make down there notes.
Furthermore, another reason while online reading cannot cease published books is network issue, in many countries or states today are experiencing network problem, for example, in my village today, we always find it difficult to have network to access our internet. Again, is not everybody that's know how to make use of digital equipments like computer or smartphone.
Health issue is another vital reason, many people are having health challanges that reading online will worsen the situation, for example, my doctor advised me to control how i use screen because it might damage my eyes in the future. Some professionals like banking sectors, engineering will always continue to make use of hard copies in their fields.
In conclusion, despite that online reading is stress fress, less expensive and easy for people to use but it cannot stops the use of printed newspapers and books because students, and some professionals will still needs hard copy for their works.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is that online access will not eliminate printed publications, and you support it with relevant points about schools, unreliable internet, screen-related health concerns, and professional use. The conclusion also restates your view. However, the response addresses the issue only partially: the school and professional examples are brief, and the claim that students need printed books to make notes is not clearly explained. The discussion focuses mainly on reasons print will remain, with little consideration of why free online reading might replace some purchases. The response is 246 words, four words below the 250-word minimum; the 11 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop and explain each main reason more fully, while keeping your position clear throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an opening position, supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally group related reasons, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “Again,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, particularly in the opening, where the contrast between internet growth and your disagreement is difficult to follow. Some linking is mechanical, and “Again” does not clearly show how the point about digital skills relates to network problems. The conclusion repeats earlier points rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports; vary linking expressions and make references such as “this situation” precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “network problem,” “health issue,” “screen,” and “hard copies.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “digital equipments” and “professionals,” but several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less clear and natural. Examples include “ready everything,” “rapid growth of internet,” “stress fress,” and “make down there notes.” Some terms are also imprecise: “banking sectors, engineering” does not clearly identify the professionals you mean. Build accuracy by learning common collocations for technology, publishing, and education, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help express your relevant ideas without changing their meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a concession in “Although…” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the argument difficult to follow. For example, “it will stops people” has incorrect verb agreement, while “because is schools will always be giving” does not form a clear clause. The opening sentence also combines “Although” with “but,” creating an incomplete or awkward structure. Practise building one clear main clause at a time, then add subordinate clauses with accurate connectors. Check subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and use full stops to separate ideas when a sentence becomes difficult to control.
