Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear overall view in the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and conclusion (“I firmly agree”), and you give relevant reasons: online reading is free and convenient, while print production and distribution are costly. However, the response only partially develops the task. The prompt concerns whether people will stop buying printed newspapers and books because online material will be free, but much of your discussion focuses on news channels and education platforms rather than explaining the future of both books and newspapers. Several claims, such as online reading being “reliable,” are asserted without clear explanation or specific support. Develop each reason with a direct link to the prediction and address why some readers might still choose print.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the hand” and “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. These paragraph breaks help the reader identify the main sections. However, progression within the paragraphs is often unclear: ideas about cost, reliability, social media, distributors, environmental friendliness, and education platforms are placed together without explaining how they connect. Linking phrases are also repetitive or inaccurate, and references such as “it” and “they” do not always make the intended meaning clear. For example, the relationship between “friendly environment” and “good relationship” is not explained. Organise each body paragraph around one reason, then use clear links and examples to develop it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “publication,” “distributors,” “audiences,” and “online mode,” and you attempt to express ideas about cost and convenience. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “online mode,” “free,” and “easy to read.” Some word choices or collocations make the meaning difficult to follow, such as “people are reliable,” “important duties for distributors,” and “good relationship” between audiences and companies. There are also spelling errors, including “Futhermore,” “convienient,” “envirnoment,” and “plateform.” Build a more precise range for discussing digital access, print costs, and reader preferences, and check spelling and natural word combinations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You communicate a general position, but grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “a printed newspapers,” “will not bought,” and “every person want,” which show problems with articles, plurals, verb forms, and subject–verb agreement. Sentence structures are mostly simple, while attempts to combine ideas often produce faulty sentences, as in “information are deliver on online mode and audiences are easy to read and free.” There are also punctuation and spacing problems, such as the missing space after “mode.” Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences using clauses such as “because” and “although,” checking each verb against its subject.
