IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many people argue that in the future nobody will buy printed newspaper or books because everything is available online without paying any charges. I strongly agree with this point of view because in today's world this is already happend through digital world. Now new is spread through tv channels and books are avaible online in form of pdf. people can able to download that pdf and then read it without payin anything.
Firstly we discuss about how this is possible in future? So, the answer is it is already happend by tv news channels and furthermore by internet people wil watch news online anywhere anytime. For example if we go back to 20 years later and see the structure is based on printed newspaper and books. People had bought newspapers and books. But now everything is available online each book is available. There are many Tv channel who delivered news very fastly without getting any fee. So, people can watch new on tv and mobile as well. A person who wants to read a book of poetry. He cannot need to buy that book just go to google search the keyword or book name then that book is available in pdf form. He can download it and then he also read it without any fee.
As the result, i believe this is realy helpful for everyone because everyone easily reach what they want through digital media and technology without paying any thing. Now people can read newspaper or either books what they need everything is online available.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that online access will reduce purchases of printed newspapers and books. You support this with relevant examples, including online news and downloadable poetry books. However, the response only partly develops the task. It mainly describes how people can access material online now, rather than explaining why printed publications may no longer be bought in the future. The claim that everything is available without payment is also accepted without considering limits such as paid content, copyright, or readers who prefer print. Develop your reasons more fully and address the future-focused claim directly, while keeping your position consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, a main paragraph with examples, and a concluding statement, so there is some organisation. The examples generally relate to the central idea. However, progression is limited: the main paragraph moves from television news to past newspaper use and then to downloading a poetry book without clearly linking these points. Connectors such as “Firstly,” “furthermore,” and “As the result” are used mechanically or inaccurately, and the conclusion mostly repeats the introduction. Use clearer topic sentences and organise each paragraph around one reason, with linking phrases that show the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a basic range of topic vocabulary, including “printed newspaper,” “digital media,” “download,” and “available online,” which makes the general subject understandable. However, vocabulary is repetitive, especially “available,” “online,” and “without paying,” and several word-choice or spelling errors make the writing less clear, such as “new” for “news,” “fastly,” and “payin.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “the structure is based on printed newspaper and books” and “reach what they want.” Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe news as being “broadcast” or “accessed,” rather than saying channels “delivered news very fastly.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Most sentences use simple structures, and the reader can usually follow the intended meaning. There are attempts at longer sentences, but they are often faulty: “people can able to download” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “A person who wants to read a book of poetry. He cannot need to buy” is not a complete, well-formed sentence sequence. Errors also occur in tense and agreement, as in “this is already happend” and “There are many Tv channel who delivered.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including lowercase sentence openings and missing spaces after full stops. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with controlled clauses.
