Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You state a clear position—“I strongly agree”—and begin to address the topic of accessing newspapers and books online. However, the response is only 70 words, well below the required 250 words; nine words copied from the prompt are excluded from that count. More importantly, the argument is not developed: the opening gives a general claim about free online access, while the next paragraph stops at “The predominant one is, if” and provides no reason, example, or explanation. As a result, the task is addressed only minimally. To improve, explain why free digital access would reduce purchases, support this with a relevant example, and consider whether printed materials might still appeal to some readers.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introductory paragraph states your position, and “To commence with” signals the start of a body paragraph. This gives the reader some indication of the intended structure. However, the ideas do not progress into a complete argument, and the final sentence breaks off after “if,” leaving the paragraph unfinished. Phrases such as “This essay will delve deep into this notion” announce a discussion but do not connect or develop actual points. Build a clear sequence in each paragraph—main idea, explanation, and example—and use linking expressions to show how the points relate. A conclusion would also help the response feel complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt some topic-related and formal vocabulary, including “contemporary era,” “predominant,” and “accessible,” and the reader can identify your general subject and opinion. However, several choices or forms are inaccurate or awkward, such as “technology has advanced and accessible,” “read everything they want digital,” and “forth coming paragraphs.” There are also spelling errors, including “tthe,” “newspaers,” and “multitudnious,” which reduce the accuracy of the vocabulary. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, say that technology “has become more accessible” and that people can read “digital content.” A wider range of precise words will be easier to demonstrate once the argument is developed.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response includes a few attempts at longer sentence structures, such as “I strongly agree with this opinion because people easily get things online without paying any cost.” This shows an effort to connect a reason to your position. However, grammatical control is inconsistent: “technology has advanced and accessible” is missing a suitable verb form, and “Up coming generation nobody will purchase…” lacks a clear grammatical structure. The final clause, “The predominant one is, if,” is incomplete, so its meaning cannot be followed. Use complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles and sentence boundaries. Practising accurate simple sentences first will help you build more complex ones reliably.
