Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear overall view—“I agree with this statement”—and give relevant reasons, including convenience, saving time, and being able to access news and books in different places. These points show an attempt to address the question. However, the response only partially develops the argument: several ideas repeat the same benefit, and the claim that people will no longer buy printed material is not examined in depth. The prompt also concerns reading online without paying, but you do not discuss whether free access is realistic or how it might affect the future of print. To strengthen the response, explain each main reason with a specific example and consider a counterpoint, such as the value of printed books or paid online content.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic sequence: it introduces agreement, gives reasons, and ends by restating the position. Paragraph breaks also separate some points. However, progression is limited because convenience and time-saving are repeated in several paragraphs rather than developed as distinct stages of an argument. Linking words such as “because,” “but,” and “so” are used, but connections are sometimes unclear; for example, “Future have an much of an technology” does not clearly lead into the point that people lack time to shop. References such as “who news” and “it” also make some relationships difficult to follow. Group related ideas into focused paragraphs and use clear topic sentences and references to guide the reader.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words and phrases, including “online,” “newspaper,” “books,” “news,” and “safe our time,” so the general topic is usually recognisable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and often imprecise, which limits how clearly you can express your ideas. Phrases such as “every type of book,” “every old and fresh news,” and “who news” do not communicate the intended meaning naturally. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “comfertable” and “usefull.” Build a wider range of topic vocabulary and learn common collocations for digital media, access, and convenience. Check spelling and choose precise expressions rather than repeating “every type” and “news.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Most sentences use simple structures, and you attempt to connect clauses with “because,” “but,” and “so.” This gives the response some variety, but attempts at longer sentences are often faulty and frequent errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “the people not buy” and “they able to read,” where the verb forms are incomplete, and “Today every person have an mobile,” which has agreement and article problems. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the final sentence beginning “So me is agree.” Practise forming accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation when editing.
