Student answer (Band 5.5)

The technology changes the way of livimg of people day by day.If you compare our living with some recent years there is a lot of changings that we made by technology. As same, I agree with the statement that nobody will buy newspapers in future. It is also true due to many reasons the main one is our mobile phone by which we read any thing that we want online without paying.

Digitalisation changes many thing in our life and also gives us many relaiable things as we talked about the news papers now we dont have need for newspapers because we have many other ways to read the news. Now if anything occurs anywhere on Earth,we imediatlay heard about news due to the useage of social media, internet. It is more esiar for us than to buy newspapers. For instanse, My Father is so much intrusting in news but some years ago he use only newspapers to read the news that what happens on Earth. But now my elder brother gives him mobile phone and tell them who to hear news by using internet,Now he always use their mobilephone for this purpose. Moreover, peoples become busy day by day and they do not have enough time to read newspapers so internet is esiar for everyone. And it is not easir only aslo more useful people understand more easily because on internet there is not only news to read but also proper vedios are available.

In conclusions,As the world become digital day by day it is possible that nobody buy newspapers to read the happenings on Earth in future because due to the improvemnt in technology and also the busy routines of people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear: you agree that online access will reduce or replace newspaper purchases, and you support this with points about rapid news updates, convenience, and people’s busy routines. The example of your father switching from newspapers to a mobile phone also makes the argument more concrete. However, the response addresses the prompt only partially because it focuses almost entirely on newspapers and does not discuss printed books. It also does not examine the claim that online reading will be free, and the conclusion mainly repeats the opening view. To strengthen the response, address both books and newspapers, consider whether free access is realistic, and develop each reason with clearer explanation or evidence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a main paragraph with reasons and an example, and a concluding paragraph. Ideas generally follow a sensible order, moving from digital news access to convenience and then to the personal example. Linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “In conclusions” help signal relationships between points. However, the main paragraph contains several ideas in one block, and some transitions feel mechanical or unclear, as in “As same” and “Now if anything occurs anywhere on Earth.” References such as “they” in the father example are not always clear. Use separate paragraphs for distinct reasons, and connect each point explicitly to the argument so the progression is easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to technology and news, including “digitalisation,” “social media,” “internet,” and “busy routines,” which allows the reader to understand your main argument. There are also attempts to express comparison and usefulness, such as “more useful” and “more easily.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make parts less clear, including “relaiable things,” “intrusting in news,” “hear news,” and “happenings on Earth.” Repetition of “news,” “people,” and “easy” also limits precision. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for print and online media, and check spelling and natural word combinations. More precise vocabulary would make your reasons clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional opening (“If you compare…”) and a reason clause (“because we have many other ways…”). This shows an effort to connect ideas rather than relying only on short statements. However, control is inconsistent: errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur frequently and can make the reader pause. For example, “we dont have need for newspapers” and “people understand more easily” are not formed accurately, while “Now if anything occurs anywhere on Earth,we imediatlay heard” combines tense and punctuation problems. Practise accurate present and future forms, subject–verb agreement, and sentence boundaries. Proofreading for full stops and commas will also improve readability.
