Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear general view in the introduction—“i strongly agree”—and discuss relevant effects, including convenience while travelling, network problems, older readers’ habits, eye strain, and authors’ income. These points show an attempt to consider the issue from more than one angle. However, the response only partially develops the task: the final paragraph says you agree with “both the views,” so your position becomes unclear, and the discussion does not fully explain whether free online access will replace printed books and newspapers in the future. Some examples, such as the final point about articles that cannot be found online, are difficult to interpret. Make your position consistent and explain each main reason with a clear, specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion, so there is some basic organisation. The ideas are generally grouped by advantages and disadvantages. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and linking phrases sometimes create a contrast without explaining the relationship between ideas. For example, the second body paragraph moves from network access to elderly readers, authors’ income, eye strain, and unavailable articles with little connection. The conclusion also introduces an unclear position rather than bringing the discussion together. Use one central idea per paragraph, connect each supporting example directly to it, and make references such as “it” and “the things” more precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “network issue,” “eye strain,” “newspaper,” and “published,” and you attempt phrases such as “a considerable number.” This gives you enough language to communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow, such as “individual reference their books,” “easy available,” and “make eyesight to lost.” Spelling and word-form errors are also noticeable, including “techonology,” “convienent,” and “Inaddittion.” Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing digital reading, access, and publishing, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer precise expressions over repeated use of “online” and “things.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “as,” “which,” and “while.” This shows some effort to vary sentence structure. However, the longer constructions are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries can make the message difficult to understand. For example, “individual are unable” needs subject–verb agreement, while “some elderly individuals feels” has the same problem; “i strongly agree in the both the views” is also not a well-formed sentence. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly around paragraph openings and commas. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time and proofread each sentence for agreement and punctuation.
