Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You state a clear position—“I am fully agree with this pronouncement”—and mention one relevant reason: online reading can save money. However, the response addresses the topic only minimally. It does not explain whether printed books and newspapers will disappear, discuss the claim that online material will be free, or support the money-saving point with examples or explanation. The opening sentence is also difficult to interpret, so your main argument is not clearly established. The response is substantially below the required 250 words, leaving the task without developed arguments or a conclusion. To improve, address both the future of print and free online access, then develop at least two reasons with specific examples and a concluding statement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening paragraph gives your position, and “Firstly” introduces a reason. This provides a simple starting structure, but the ideas do not progress beyond that single point, and there is no conclusion. The link between preferring online reading and saving money is understandable, although the sentence beginning “Firstly” is crowded and its contrast marker “however” does not clearly connect the ideas. The opening sentence is also hard to follow, which weakens the overall progression. Use separate paragraphs for each main reason, connect each claim to its explanation, and finish by restating your view. A wider range of clear linking phrases would help the reader follow the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “online reading,” “newspapers,” “books,” and “save money,” so the general subject is recognisable. However, the range is narrow and several word choices or spellings make the meaning less clear. “Computrized newspapers” does not express the intended contrast with printed publications; “digital newspapers” would be more suitable. “Collecting information” and “collecting knowledge on books” are unnatural in this context, while “without any costs” is less idiomatic than “free of charge.” There are also spelling errors such as “opprtunity” and “expences.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response includes a few simple sentence patterns and an attempt at a longer sentence using “because” and “however.” However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and the opening sentence is difficult to understand. For example, “there will be no one who bought” uses an unsuitable verb form after “will be,” and “I am fully agree” has an incorrect verb construction; write “I fully agree.” In the second sentence, the clause joined by “however” is not punctuated or structured clearly. The response also shows little variety beyond basic statements, so practise accurate complex sentences that explain causes and results. Check verb forms, sentence boundaries, and punctuation when revising.
