Student answer (Band 5.5)
IN THIS ERA OF DIGITALISATION, IN NEAR FUTURE NONE OF PEOPLE WILL BUY PHYSICAL NEWSPAPERS AND BOOKS BECAUSE THEY WILL BE MORE RELAY ON VIRTUAL WITHOUT ANY PAYMENT. MY THOURGH MY AGREEMENT WITH THIS PERSPECTIVE THAT, INDIVIDUALS WILL UPGRADE THEIR NEWS READING CHOISE PHYSICAL COPY TO ONLINE MODE WHICH WILL BE JUSTIFIED IN THE SUBSEQUENT PARAGRAPH.
FIRST AND FOREMOST COMPELLING REASON OF MY AGREEMENT THAT, VITUAL MODE ARE MORE CONVENIENT. TO EXPLICATE THAT, NOWADAYS WITH THE INCREASING TECHNOLOGY. SO IN FUTURE ONLINE PLATFORMS SURPASSES TO THE PHYSICAL NEWSPAPERS AND BOOKS. BECAUSE, PEOPLE CAN ACCESS INTERNET ANY TIME AND ANY WHERE SO THEY CAN OBTAIN NEWS EASILY AND CAN READ E-BOOKS EASILY. FOR EXAMPLE E-NEWS, KINDLE. HENCE, VIRTUAL MODE MORE CONVINENT SO IN UTURE PEOPLE WILL PREFER TO ONLINE NEWS AND BOOKS.
SECOND PARAMOUNT REASON THAT, VIRTUAL NEWS AND BOOKS ARE MORE UNDERSTABLIES. TO ELABORATE IT, ONLINE MODE'S NEWS AND E-BOOKS ARE EXPLAIN WITH NUMEROUS TYPES OF PHOTOGRAPHS , VIDEOS AND SOME DRAWINGS. SO OLDER PEOPLE AND CHILD AND STUDENTS CAN EASILY UNDERSTAND AFFEIRS. FURTHERMORE, STUDENT CAN SMOUTHLY CLEAR THEIR DOUBTES A BY USES OF ONLINE BOOKS. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear position in favour of the statement and give two relevant reasons: online reading is convenient and digital material can be easier to understand. Examples such as e-news and Kindle help make the first point concrete. However, the response addresses the claim only partially because it does not examine the important condition that people can read everything online without paying, or consider why some readers may continue buying printed books and newspapers. The second reason is also unclear: photographs and videos may aid understanding, but the link to free access and the conclusion that this is a major benefit are not fully explained. The response is five words below the required minimum. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Furthermore,” and “Conclusively” signal the stages of the argument, and the reader can generally follow the intended progression. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with repeated “So,” “Because,” and “Therefore,” and several sentences do not connect their ideas clearly. For instance, the second body paragraph moves from visual aids to students clearing doubts, then to free access, without explaining how these points support one another. Use fewer formulaic transitions and build each paragraph around one main idea, linking each supporting detail explicitly to it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digitalisation,” “virtual mode,” “platforms,” and “access,” and you use some topic-specific terms such as “e-books” and “physical newspapers.” However, the range is limited and many word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “more relay on,” “understablies,” “surpasses to,” and “smouthly clear their doubtes.” Some phrases are also repeated, particularly “online mode” and “more convenient.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “rely more on digital media,” “easier to understand,” and “access information.” Proofread spelling carefully and choose familiar, precise vocabulary rather than attempting complex expressions you cannot yet control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use a few different sentence patterns, including clauses introduced by “because” and “so,” and the response is divided into paragraphs that help convey the argument. However, the range is limited, and attempts at longer sentences are often faulty. For example, “First and foremost compelling reason of my agreement that” is not a complete grammatical sentence, while “online platforms surpasses” has a subject–verb agreement error. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “older people and child and students” and “Because, people can access internet.” These errors sometimes make the intended relationships unclear. Practise writing complete subject–verb sentences, then combine them with accurate subordinate clauses; check agreement, articles, and punctuation during revision.
