In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is an ongoing discussion about books and newpapers digitilization, people recogized that non of us will purchse books and newspapers in printed form, because they find will everything to read online without any cost. I completely agree with this viewpoint, and in this essay I will explain the reasons behind the public approach and familirization with modern trends in online reading and free Internet resources.

On the one hand, We are living in the era of digetilization and a significant number of people are share their books and news through various plaforms and there are many websites which are easily and free of cost available for any individuals. There are sveral reasons for authors and news anchors to use these platforms because they can earn money from these. For instance, there many apps for news, like Dwan news app, Mashriq TV app, afterward anyone can download these apps for free and will received any news which they share, can read at home through their phones these digital platform pay to owners according their viewership.

On the other hand, the online books reading is a rising trend across the world even a number of school use slides, and digital books to teach the students. As a result new genereation is going to addict with modern euipments and their is also the financial aspect of this trend. The public is going to own these trends because they are no longer attached phyically, with shops or libraries beacuse they can read books through different Internet resources. For example, there is huge platform "Rekta.com" where people can read almost all Urdu literary books, and research books as well free of cost.

In conclusion, in the future everyone will be use online plaforms for free because they are alredy "in" in this trend while in the next few years they will be more familiar with free internet resouces.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you completely agree that online reading will replace printed books and newspapers. You give relevant reasons, including free access to news apps, digital materials in schools, and online Urdu books, with examples such as the news apps and Rekta.com. However, the response only partly develops the task. It focuses mainly on why people use online resources now, rather than fully explaining why printed publications will disappear in the future. The claim that everything will be available online without payment is also accepted without considering whether all books and newspapers will actually be free. To strengthen the response, explain the future consequences more directly and develop each reason with clearer cause-and-effect support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion that returns to your position. This gives the reader a basic route through your ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from sharing books and news to publishers’ earnings, then to examples of apps, without clearly linking each point. Some connections are also awkward or unclear, such as “because they can earn money from these” and “The public is going to own these trends.” Use topic sentences that state one main reason, then explain and illustrate it in sequence. Clearer referencing and more precise links between sentences would make the organisation less mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital books,” “viewership,” “financial aspect,” and “Internet resources,” and you attempt to discuss both publishing and education. However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable throughout, sometimes making the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “newpapers digitilization,” “familirization,” “plaforms,” and “addict with modern euipments.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “own these trends” and “attached physically, with shops or libraries.” Aim to learn accurate topic-specific phrases and check spelling carefully. More natural expressions such as “adopt digital reading” and “become accustomed to digital devices” would help you express your ideas more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “as a result,” but complex sentences are often faulty and errors occur frequently. For example, “a significant number of people are share” has an incorrect verb form, while “there many apps” is missing a verb. In “anyone can download these apps for free and will received any news,” the verb form and sentence construction are inaccurate. Agreement and articles also need attention, as in “a number of school use” and “their is.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected subordinate clause, then check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and punctuation.
