Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the process as making instant noodles and mention several relevant stages, including flour, dough sheets, noodle discs, cooking and drying, and adding vegetables and spices. However, the account is only partial: the overview does not clearly summarise the full sequence, and important details such as storage silos, the mixer, rollers, and the final cups are not explained accurately or fully. The phrase “from flour to mixer and dough sheets to cups labelling” gives only a fragmentary outline. The response also contains 110 words, below the required 150, so there is not enough development to report the main features adequately. Describe each stage in order and clarify that the finished product is sealed in labelled cups.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response, with an opening, an overview, and a final paragraph introduced by “Furthermore.” The stages are generally presented in process order, which gives the reader some sense of progression. However, most of the process is compressed into one long sentence beginning “To begin with,” and the repeated use of “and” makes the sequence difficult to follow. Some links are unclear, such as “it shifts ahead” and “it replace it in cups.” Use separate sentences or paragraphs for preparation, cooking, and packaging, and connect stages with precise sequencing expressions such as “next,” “after this,” and “finally.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses some relevant process vocabulary, including “flour,” “dough sheets,” “dough strips,” “noodles discs,” “cooking,” and “labelling and sealing.” This shows a basic range suited to the topic. However, vocabulary is limited and several choices or forms make the process unclear: “it replace to noodles discs,” “packets,” and “which goes for further” do not accurately describe the diagram. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “manufacutured” and “byh.” Aim for precise process verbs and nouns, for example, “is transferred,” “is shaped into,” and “cups,” rather than “packets.” Check spelling and use the diagram’s labels consistently.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect stages in longer sentences, but the response relies heavily on a single extended sentence, and these attempts are often faulty. For example, “the first process starts from flour and goes to mixer byh adding water and oil which turns into rollers” has unclear clause relationships and incorrect verb forms. The opening, “the whole process of making the instant noodles are manufactured,” also has a faulty construction and subject–verb agreement. Articles and sentence boundaries are inconsistent, while the final phrase “which goes for further” is grammatically incomplete. Practise writing clear present-simple passive sentences for each stage, such as “The flour is mixed with water and oil,” and use full stops to separate steps.
