The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing instant noodles.

Overall, it is a linear process involving eight steps with no repetition of stage. The process commences with storage silos in form of flour and ends with the labeling using labels and sealing.

Initially, silos in form of flour are brought by trucks and stored in large storage containers. After that, they are put in a mixer where water and oil are added for mixing process, Later the mixed substances are rolled to form dough sheets. During the next stage, the dough sheets are cut into strips and then used to form noodles disks which are oval in shape. In the subsequent stage the disks are cooked using oil and the dried. After that, vegetables and spices are added which have been measured using cups and finally labelling is done using labels and sealing is done before being sold to the consumers.
