Student answer (Band 7.0)
The given layout demonstrates the manufacturing process of instant noodles.
Overall, it is clear that the process consists of eight parts. It begins with storing flour store in storage silos and ends with labeling and sealing the final products. In addition, in the cups are included vegetables and spices ingredients.
Firstly, flour is stored in large storage silos. Next, it transformed into mixer, where water and oil are added. In the third stage, the dough is passed through rollers from dough sheets. Furthermore, the dough sheets are cut into dough strips. In fifth stage, the dough strips are shaped into noodles discs. Moreover, the noodles discs are dried by cooking oil.
In the next following stage, the dried noodles discs are transformed into cups. Afterwards, vegetables and spices are mixed to the noodles cups. Finally, the cups are labeled and sealed . after which the instant noodles cups are ready for sale.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully identified the main stages of the noodle manufacturing process and provided a clear overview. You covered all key steps from storage to packaging. However, the response lacks a more analytical approach; for instance, you could have grouped the stages more effectively (e.g., preparation, processing, and packaging) to better highlight the flow. While you mentioned the addition of vegetables and spices, the description of the drying process could be more precise. Overall, you have addressed the requirements of the task well, providing a logical summary of the provided diagram.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The response is logically organized, with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs that follow the chronological order of the process. You used cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Next', 'In the third stage', and 'Finally' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the paragraphing could be improved by grouping the stages into distinct phases of production. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentences feel slightly disjointed due to repetitive sentence structures. Overall, the information is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You have used an adequate range of vocabulary to describe the process, such as 'manufacturing', 'storage silos', and 'labeled and sealed'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'transformed into mixer' should be 'transferred to a mixer', and 'dried by cooking oil' is slightly imprecise; 'deep-fried' or 'dried using hot oil' would be more natural. You rely on basic verbs like 'transformed' and 'added' throughout. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise technical verbs related to industrial processes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors. For instance, 'flour store in storage silos' contains an unnecessary word, and 'passed through rollers from dough sheets' is confusing; it should likely be 'passed through rollers to form dough sheets'. There are also minor punctuation errors, such as the space before the period in 'sealed .'. Despite these errors, the grammar does not impede communication, and you show an attempt to use passive voice, which is appropriate for a process description.
