IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The diagram illustrates the numerous steps involved in the production of instant noodles.

Overall, it is very much evident that the process contains 8 varied steps, from raw materials to labelling and sealing. The process is done with the help of machines.

The first step that is involved in manufacturing takes place in storage silos where flour from truck is been imported. The next step contains mixing of all the raw materials, flour, water and oil, to form a dough. The dough is then shaped into sheets with the help of rollers and afterwards it is cut into strips. Then the noodles strips are shaped like discs and undergoes for cooking and drying process.

Furthermore, the noodles are then placed into the cups and vegetables and spices are added into the container. Once all the cups are filled with the noodles and veggies, they are then goes for labelling and sealing before they are used for selling purposes.
