Student answer (Band 6.0)
The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing instant noodles.
Overall, the process consists of 8 distinct steps, beginning with putting flour in storage silos and ending with labelling and sealing of end products. The major steps include mixing, rolling, dough cutting and cooking the noodles discs, followed by packaging.
Initially, flour is transported and put into storage silos. Then the flour goes through a mixer where water and oil are added. Consecutively, the mixture goes through rollers and dough sheets are produced. After that, a machine transforms the dough sheets into dough strips. Subsequently, the machine produces noodles discs from the strips. Then the circular noodles disks are cooked with oil, followed by drying.
Following this, the cooked noodles disks are transferred into separate cups and topped with vegetables and spices. In the next stage, cups containing noodles are labelled and sealed. Finally, the finished instant noodles are ready for distribution.
