Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely limits your ability to cover all parts of the task. While you have identified the main stages of the manufacturing process, the description is incomplete and stops abruptly after the initial steps. Because the response is less than 100 words, it fails to provide a comprehensive summary or report all the main features shown in the diagram. To improve, you must describe the entire process from start to finish and ensure you meet the word count requirement to allow for sufficient detail and development of the information provided.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response shows a basic attempt at logical organization by using an introductory sentence and an overview. However, the progression is interrupted because the text is incomplete. The use of cohesive devices is limited; for instance, 'Initially' is used to start the third paragraph, but the lack of further development makes the overall structure feel fragmented. To reach a higher band, you need to ensure that your ideas flow logically from one stage to the next using a wider range of linking words and that your paragraphing is consistent throughout the entire report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. You have used some relevant technical terms such as 'manufactured', 'silo', and 'dough', which is positive. However, there is a lack of variety and precision in your word choice. For example, 'discs shape' is slightly awkward, and the repetition of 'flour' and 'noodles' could be improved by using synonyms or more descriptive phrasing. To improve, try to incorporate more precise verbs and nouns related to industrial processes, such as 'processed', 'conveyed', or 'automated'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are several grammatical errors that affect the clarity of your writing. For example, 'illustrates the how instant noodles are' contains an unnecessary article, and 'stored into a silos' has an incorrect pluralization. Additionally, 'The main stages involves' shows a subject-verb agreement error. Your sentence structures are relatively simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and using a wider variety of sentence structures, such as passive voice, which is essential for describing manufacturing processes.
