The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates the method of producing instant noodles.

Overall, the process consists of 8 main stages. The production commences with storing flour in silos and concludes with final product being labelled and sealed.

At the initial stage, flour is stored in storage silos. Afterwards, water and oil are mixed with the stored flour. Subsequently, this mixture is transformed into dough sheets after it is passed through rollers. Upon completion of this stage, dough sheets are further transformed into dough strips.

Noodles discs are made from these dough strips. Prior to placing the noodles discs in the cups, the discs are fried in oil and dried. In the subsequent stage, seasonings and vegetables are added to the cups. Finally, the cups are sealed and labelled.
