The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates the manufacturing process of instant noodles. It is done in eight stages (storage silos, mixing, dough sheets, dough strips, noodles discs, cooking and drying, vegetables and spices, and labelling and sealing).

Overall, the instant noodles making process is fully automated. At first, it starts from storage silo then by passing through a sophisticated mechanical processing, it becomes noodles. Lastly, labelling ang sealing is done.

At the start, the flour is transferred from the storage silo to the mixing machine. Here, it is mixed with water and oil. Then, the dough gains a sheet form and the sheet is stripped in the next step. Following, it is transformed into noodles shape by noodles discs. After frying the noodles in cooking oil, it is then dried.

Afterwards, the noodles is transferred in cups with vegetables and spices. At that time, it passes the labelling and sealing section. Soon after labelling and sealing, it is ready for marketing.
