The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The figure illustrates how noodles are produced in a manufacturing unit.

The process overall comprises of 8

steps.

First off, the flour is pumped into two large storage silos from a truck. The stored flour is then transported to a mixer along with the addition of water and oil. The mixture is then released onto rollers which forms dough sheets at its third stage of making. Furthermore, the dough sheets are cut into strips and then shaped into noodle discs by the apparatus. Next, the noodles are cooked with oil plus dried in the next phase.

Moreover, the noodles are loaded into paper or plastic cups additionally with small cut vegetables and spices. Furthermore, then the labels are put on and sealing of these containers is carried out in step 8 which acts as the concluding part of this process.

In conclusion, this technique of noodle formation is a eight step process with a lot of steps.
