Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main stages of the noodle manufacturing process, from the storage of flour to the final packaging. However, the description is somewhat mechanical and lacks a clear overview or summary of the process as a whole. While the steps are identified, the response fails to highlight key features or make meaningful comparisons between the stages. The inclusion of a concluding paragraph that merely repeats the introduction is unnecessary and does not add value to the task. To improve, you should focus on grouping the stages logically and providing a more analytical summary of the process flow.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into three paragraphs, which is a reasonable structure. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the final paragraph which adds little to the overall coherence. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'First', 'Then', and 'After', but they are somewhat basic and mechanical. The flow between sentences could be improved by using more varied linking phrases to show the relationship between the different stages of production. Paragraphing is present, but the final paragraph is redundant and should be integrated into the main body or omitted.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several spelling errors, such as 'pcocessing', 'ingrediants', 'throughly', 'expalined', and 'th ewhole', which detract from the quality of the writing. The range of vocabulary is limited to basic terms like 'brought', 'mixed', and 'packed'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise terminology related to industrial processes, such as 'conveyed', 'incorporated', 'extruded', or 'distributed', and ensure that your spelling is accurate throughout the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. For example, 'whole process of instant noodles has been displayed' lacks an article, and 'final step comes that is labelling' is awkwardly phrased. There are also issues with punctuation and capitalization, such as the inconsistent capitalization of 'Flour'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
