Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response adequately summarizes the information provided regarding instant noodle manufacturing, detailing the eight steps involved. However, the organization of information could be improved; the description could be clearer and more logical, especially in the order of processes. Descriptive language lacks comparative features, which could enhance clarity further. Overall, while the fundamental details are presented, the response could be more concise, focusing on the key features of the diagram rather than listing steps in a somewhat fragmented manner.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The overall structure of the response shows an attempt to create coherence, but paragraphs could be improved for clarity. The introduction provides context, but the transitions between steps could be made smoother. Phrases such as "first of all" and "moving forward" help inform the reader of sequence but could be replaced with more formal transitional phrases. Additionally, the conclusion implies a summary but does not effectively encapsulate the key features highlighted, making it seem somewhat disconnected from the preceding content.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The lexical resource utilized in the response demonstrates adequate vocabulary relevant to the topic. However, there are a few instances of word choice that could be improved. For example, the phrase "various steps" could be more precise with terms like "phases" or "stages." Some repetitive phrases, such as "manufacturing of instant noodles," could benefit from variety. Mistakes like "i am describing" should be corrected to maintain consistency in capitalization. Overall, there is a satisfactory range of vocabulary, but diversity and precision could enhance the response.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

Grammatical structures are generally appropriate, but there are noticeable errors that impact clarity. For instance, the phrase "the whole cycle consists of overall eight steps" is slightly awkward; "the whole process consists of eight distinct steps" would be clearer. Mixed verb tenses are evident—"were made" and "are manufactured"—creating inconsistencies. Subject-verb agreement issues arise with phrases like "steps involving in the manufacturing" where it should be "involving the manufacture." Overall, grammar range is satisfactory, but more careful attention to verb forms and consistency is needed.

Overall feedback

Your response shows a clear understanding of the instant noodle manufacturing process. You effectively listed the steps involved, but consider improving the organization by using clearer paragraphs and connecting phrases to guide the reader through the processes sequentially. Additionally, be careful with grammar, particularly with verb tenses and subject-verb agreement. You have a decent range of vocabulary; however, try to incorporate more variety and precision in your word choices to elevate your writing. Overall, focus on clarity and grammatical accuracy to improve your score.
