The diagram illustrates the procedure of manufacturing instant noodle. Overall the process involves eight stages beginning with flour storage and ending with sealed labelled cups of instant noodles. It is a fully automated linear process. Initially flour is storage in large soils before being transported to a mixer . In a mixer water and oil are added to from dough . The dough is then processed by rollers into sheets and subsequently cut into strips . Next the strips are shaped into noodles discs and cooked in oil before being dried . Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. While the report covers the main stages of the noodle manufacturing process, the under-length nature of the response means that the description is somewhat rushed and lacks the necessary detail to fully satisfy the task requirements. The overview is present, but the lack of length prevents a more thorough exploration of the process. To improve, you must expand on the descriptions of each stage, perhaps by adding more detail about the transformation of the materials or the specific conditions mentioned in the diagram.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is written as a single paragraph, which makes it difficult to follow the logical progression of the process. While you use some sequencing words like 'Initially', 'Next', and 'finally', the lack of paragraphing and the somewhat repetitive sentence structure hinder the flow. The transition between the cooking and drying stages and the final packaging stage is abrupt. To improve, you should organize your report into at least two or three paragraphs—for example, one for the preparation of the dough and another for the cooking and packaging stages—to help the reader navigate the information more effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a basic range of vocabulary suitable for describing a process, such as 'manufacturing', 'automated', and 'transported'. However, there are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'flour is storage' (should be 'stored') and 'noodle discs' (should be 'noodle disks' or 'noodle cakes'). The phrase 'large soils' is likely a misuse of 'silos'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise terminology related to industrial processes and ensure that you use the correct word forms (e.g., nouns vs. verbs) to convey your meaning accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains several grammatical errors that affect readability. For example, 'added to from dough' is grammatically incorrect, and the sentence 'Which vegetables and spices are added finally the cups undergo labelling' is a run-on sentence with incorrect punctuation. There is a lack of variety in sentence structure, as most sentences are simple or follow a basic subject-verb-object pattern. To improve, you should practice using a wider range of complex sentence structures, such as passive voice constructions (e.g., 'The dough is then processed...'), and pay closer attention to punctuation and subject-verb agreement.
