The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given process chart illustrates the process of how instant noodles are manufactured.

Overall, it is crystal clear that the production process consists of eight distinct steps. It begins with the delivery of raw ingredients and moves through different steps which ended with labeling and sealing.

At a glance, first step is storage silos in which flour are transported by truck and stored in large silos. It is then moved into a mixer where water and oil are added to create a dough. Furthermore, the dough passes through heavy rollers to produce flat dough sheets. Then these sheets were cut down into small strips which leads to fourth point named dough strips. The strips are molded into thin noodles discs and ready for cooking process.

Moving further, in the final stages of production, the noodles are then cooked in oil and drying during the sixth stage. The dried discs are placed into individual plastic cups. Moreover, vegetables and spices are then added on top of the noodles. In the final step, labels are attached to the cups, and they carefully sealed the packaging.
