The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The process chart represents an industrial process involving manufacturing of instant noodles which is an 8-step process involving various physical and chemical changes.

Overall, the process comprises multiple steps which begins with taking flour from storage silos and ends with labelling and sealing of instant noodles.

To proceed with, flour is taken from large, high-capacity storage silos which is then blended with oil and water in a mixer to obtain a mixture. After that, the mixture is converted inro dough sheets using rollers which is then converted into fine dough strips. Then, these dough strips are then rolled to make noodle discs.

Furthermore, these round discs are cooked in oil by a fryer which is followed by drying the noodles. These prepared batch of noodles is then packed in cups along with a few vegetables and spices for flavoring which is further packed by labelling and sealing the instant noodle cups.
