The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing instant noodles.

Overall, the process consists of eight stages, starting with the storage of flour in large silos and ending with the labelling and sealing of the noodle cups. The process involves several steps, including mixing the flour with water and oil, forming and cooking the noodles, and finally adding vegetables and spices before the finished products are packaged.

Firstly, flour is transported by truck from the storage silos and then transferred to a mixer, where it is combined with water and oil. After this, the mixture has been converted into dough, it is passed through rollers to form sheets. Afterwards, the strips are then formed into noodle discs, where they are shaped into round portions.

At the next stage, the noodle discs are ready, the noodle discs are then cooked in cooking oil and dried. Next, the noodles are placed in cups, and vegetables and spices are added to them. Finally, the cups are labelled and sealed before the finished products are ready for distribution.
