IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The given diagram represents how many steps involve in manufacturing process of instant noodles.
Overall, there are 8 main steps mentioned in the figure that are essential in manufacturing of instant noodles in different factories. The process shows how the flour converted in instant noodles.
In 1st step, there are some storage containers used for storing flour in factories. In 2nd step, we have a mixer which is used for making dough for noodles. Moreover, the machine mix the mixer of water and oil with the flour that come from storage silos and produced a dough. The dough moved forward with the help of rollers and transformed into dough sheets in 3rd step.
The dough sheets produced by rollers went into a machine. The machine cut the dough sheets into very thin strips, in 4th step. After that the strips passed through another machine and arranged as noddles discs, that we can see in 5th step. Next, in 6th step, the noodles discs were cooked in hot oil and then dried by a dryer. in 7th step the cooked noodles were inserted in cups and added vegetable and flavour spices in it.
Finally, the noodles cups were labelling and sealing. After that, the instant noodles are ready for selling. That is how noodles are manufactured in big factories.
