The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The provided diagram illustrates the step-by-step manufacturing process of instant noodles.

Overall, the process undergoes eight stages before manufacturing instant noodles, starting with storing flour in large silos and ending with labeling and sealing.

At first, flour is store in large silos, which is poured into a mixer with water and oil to prepare the first ingredient which is dough. After that, the dough is passed through a roller to make a thin sheet which is cut into strips via an interconnected machine. Subsequently, the dough strips are given round shapes in noodle discs.

After giving the noodle shape, it is cooked in oil and dried afterwards to remove any extra moisture before packaging. In the following stages, the dried noodle is placed in multiple cups on the conveyor belt. Simultaneously, vegetables and spices are added in the cups to increase flavor. Finally, the cups are labelled with information and sealed properly before distributing them to sell in stores.
