The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The illustration depicts the 8 stage manufacturing process of instant noddles in an industrial setting. Noticably, the entire process is conducted with the assistance of technology.

Overall, it is evident that the process begins with storing of flour in silos and culminates in the manufactured noodle cups being lebeled. Broadly, the procedure involves storing the flour and mixing it with other ingredients before it passes through the rollers and dough strip machine. Subsequently, the strips are shaped into dics of noddles, which is then dried and mixed with other necessary things while being placed into cups. Eventually, the cups are sealed and labeled.

Initially, a truck supplies flour to the silos where it is stored for use. In the subsequent stage, water and oil are combined with flour in the mixer to create a dough. The dough then passes through the roller and converted into dough sheets, which is then cut into strips as soon as they enter into stage 4.

In the later stage, the strips are transferred into the noodles discs to give it a round shape, where cooking oil is applied and the dics are dried. Subsequently, while discs are being placed into cups, vegetables and spices are added to it before it moves to the final stage where labelling is added to the cups and cups are sealed. At this point the instant noodles are completely prepared.
