The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The given process chart illustrates the information about the procedure of how instant noodles are made.

Taking a general overview, it can be clearly seen that the process of manufacturing instant noodles contains eight main stages commencing from taking flour from two large storage silos, and end up with labelling and sealing the noodles.

To commence with, flour is taken from the storage silos with the help of a truck to the factory where it is poured to a mixer along with water and oil. After that, two rotating rollers make dough sheets which are sent to a cutter to convert them into stripes.

Subsequent to this, noodle discs are made before cooking and drying them in oil. In the next stage, the cooked noodle discs are filled into small cups along with adding vegetables and spices. In the final step, the cups are labelled, sealed and sold to supermarkets.
