The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The below diagram illustrates the various sequential steps of the manufacturing process of instant noodles.

Overall, the process consists of total eight steps. It begins with the procedure in which the flour is stored in large storage silos and in the last phase of the production there is a process of wrapping and labeling the noodles.

In the first step, flour is placed in silos and the next process includes the mixing procedure where water and oil are added as well. Following this, the rollers make it into dough sheets. The fourth step makes layers into sheets of dough. After that, the dough sheets are cut into strips which are called noodle discs.

Subsequently, the noodles are then cooked in oil and dried to make it more dry to proceed. In the ending steps, dried vegetables and spices are added into the cups. And in the final step to ensure the packing of noodles, the cups are finally sealed and labeled.
