The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates the process involved in manufacture of instant noodles.

Overall, it is a linear process consists of eight stages beginning with the storage of flour and ending with packing and labelling of cups. The main stages include mixing the ingredients, forming and cooking the noodle strips, and finally add necessary ingredients before packing.

Initially, flour is stored in large containers and then transfer to mixer where water and oil are added in it. After this, mixture is rolled into a flat sheet which is then cut into noodle strips. These strips are then shaped individually into noodle discs.

In the next stage, the noodle discs are fried and then dried. These discs are placed in cups where some vegetables and spices are added which provide flavor to noodles. After this, the cups are sealed with lids and labelling is also done at this stage, prepared as the finished instant-noodle product.
