Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers all stages of the process, from the initial storage of flour to the final packaging. You have successfully identified the main features, such as the mixing, rolling, frying, and drying stages. However, the overview is slightly inaccurate; you mention that 'vegetables and spices accounted for the main ingredient', whereas the diagram clearly shows flour as the primary component. Additionally, the description of the process is a bit repetitive in its structure. To improve, ensure your overview accurately reflects the primary inputs and the overall nature of the process, and try to group stages more logically to provide a clearer summary of the manufacturing flow.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into two paragraphs, which is appropriate for a short report. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Initially', 'Moreover', and 'Finally' to signal the progression of the process. However, the flow within the second paragraph is somewhat mechanical, relying heavily on 'and' to connect long strings of clauses. This makes the text feel like a list rather than a cohesive explanation. To reach a higher band, try to vary your linking words and use more sophisticated referencing to avoid repetitive sentence structures, which would improve the overall logical flow of the description.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'silos', 'dough sheet', and 'branding'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'manufacturing noodles' instead of 'manufacturing the noodles' and 'machines itself'. The phrase 'packaging of that a product' is also grammatically incorrect and unnatural. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that your vocabulary is used in the correct grammatical context. Expanding your range of process-related verbs would also help to make your writing more descriptive and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. For example, 'transferred into a another machines' contains both an article error and a pluralization error. You also struggle with verb tenses and consistency, such as 'it is frying' (should be 'it is fried') and 'last it going' (should be 'lastly, it goes'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
