Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response covers the main stages of the manufacturing process, but it fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which negatively impacts the score. While the key steps are identified, the description is somewhat mechanical and lacks a clear overview or synthesis of the process. The conclusion provided is repetitive and does not add value to the summary. To improve, ensure you provide a more detailed description of the stages and include a clear, concise overview that highlights the main features of the process rather than just counting the steps.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into three short paragraphs, which is a logical structure for a process description. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat basic and repetitive (e.g., 'To begin with', 'Then', 'In the next step', 'Moreover'). The flow between sentences is occasionally disjointed, particularly in the description of the noodle discs and the final packaging stage. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between the stages of the process would enhance the overall coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on basic verbs like 'put', 'make', and 'cut'. There are also some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'gone on noodles discs' and 'ready for seling' (spelling error). To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use more precise, process-oriented vocabulary such as 'processed', 'transformed', 'subsequently', and 'distributed'. Expanding your range of synonyms for the various stages will help demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. For example, 'this process have total eight steps' (subject-verb agreement), 'these strips are gone on noodles discs' (incorrect passive construction), and 'if any step is missed then whole process will not complete it' (awkward phrasing). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct passive voice usage will significantly improve your grammatical accuracy.
