Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all stages of the manufacturing process, from the storage of flour to the final export. However, the summary lacks a clear overview of the process as a whole, which is a key requirement for Task 1. The final paragraph, 'Overall, the process seems to be short and easy,' is subjective and does not effectively highlight the main features or trends of the diagram. To improve, you should focus on identifying the key stages—such as the transformation from raw ingredients to dough, the shaping process, and the final packaging—rather than simply listing every step sequentially.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized, moving step-by-step through the process. You have used a variety of cohesive devices such as 'Starting with', 'Secondly', 'Moving forward', and 'Lastly' to guide the reader. However, the paragraphing is somewhat unbalanced; the second paragraph is quite long, while the final paragraph is very brief. Improving the balance of your paragraphs and ensuring that the overview is integrated more effectively into the introduction or a separate summary paragraph would enhance the flow and logical progression of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have used a sufficient range of vocabulary to describe the process, such as 'manufacturing', 'production', 'dough sheets', and 'labelled'. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'noodlea' (noodles) and 'this discs' (these discs). Additionally, some phrasing is slightly repetitive. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise technical vocabulary related to industrial processes and ensure that your spelling is accurate throughout the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'Flour in stored' (is stored), 'sheets are cutted' (are cut), and 'export outside' (which is redundant). The use of articles and pluralization is occasionally inconsistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct formation of passive voice, which is essential for describing processes. Proofreading for these small errors will help you achieve a higher score.
