The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing instant noodles.

Overall, the manufacturing process of instant noodles consists of eight different stages and a number of different tools and infrastructures, from loading flour to storage silos to labeling and sealing instant noodles.

At the first stage of the process, flour is transported from storage silos to a mixer, where water and oil are blended into the mixture. Next, the dough sheets goes through a machine where dough strips are made by a machine.

In the fifth stage, the dough strips are shaped into noodles discs. Once formed, these discs undergo to cooking oil and drying at the same time. In the following stage cup are loaded with cooked noodles and added spices and vegetables on top of that. Finally, the resulting product is goes through a machine where they are sealed and labeled noodles in the same time and ready for distribution.
