The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

This diagram illustrates the process used to manufacture instant noodles from the initial stage to the packaging of the finish product.

Overall, the production of instant noodles involves several stages beginning with the storage and preparation of the flour and ending with the sealing of completed noodle cups. The process includes both mechanical and cooking stages with the noodles being shaped cooked in oil and subsequently dried before being packaged.

Initially, flour is stored in large storage silos before being transferred to mixture, where it is combined with water and oil. The resulting dough is then passed through a series of roller which flatten it into dough sheets. These sheets are subsequently cut into strips to form noodles. The noodle strips are shaped into discs and cooked in oil.

After cooking, the noodles are dried and placed into individual cups. At this stage, various ingredients, including vegetables and spices are added to the cups to provide flavors. finally, the cups are sealed with lids and are ready for distribution and consumption with attached labels.
