The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing instant noddles.

Overall, the procedure comprises of eight steps, which is carried through a big machine, where whole procedure is completed. The process begins with the storage of flour in silos and ends with the labelling and sealing of noddle packs.

The manufacturing process starts with the bringing of flour in a vehicle, which is stored in the storage silos. Then, the flour is mixed with water and oil in a mixer to make dough, the mixer is connected with the rollers. These rollers spread the dough sheet, which are then passed further to make the strips of the dough.

After making strips, these strips are coiled into noddles discs, which are circular in shape. Further in the process, these discs are cooked in oil and then dried. Then, these noddles are placed in cups with vegetables and spices and in the end, these packs are lablled and sealed, by which the manufacturing process is completed.
