The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The figure illustrates the formation of instant noodles in a industry. It is a multi-step process.

Overall, the manufacturing process starts from the transport of flour to storage silos where it is carried out in several steps to its packing and labelling in cups.Intially oil and water are added to make the dough soft for its easy conversion into dough sheets;however,cooking oil is again added but now for frying and drying of noodles discs.

The first step starts from the incorporation of flour into the storage silos where it is mixed with water and oil in a mixer.This mixture is than moved on rollers to convert it into plain dough sheets.Following this, dough sheets are cut into dough strips on the machine.In the next step, these strips are rolled into noodles discs.

Moving ahead, these noodle discs are fried in cooking oil and then dried. The dried noodles are added into cups into which vegetables and spices are added.In the final step, labelling and packing of the cups is done and transported.
