The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The diagram illustrates the manufacturing process of instant noodles.

Overall, the process consists a total of eight steps, with requires materials, vehicle and pieces of equipment with machines. It begins with flour storage in silos, making dough strips, adding vegetables and spices and ends with the sealing of noodle cups after labeling it.

Initially, the flour is transported by the truck and stored in two silos. This stored flour is added into the mixer, where it is mixed with water and oil to make a dough. Prepared mixture is rolled on roller and formed dough sheets. These sheets are fed into a machine and converted into the dough strips.

After this, from dough strips several noodles discs are formed and mixed with cooking oil. These prepared noodle discs are dried. After this, these noodles are added into cups with vegetables and spices. Finally, these noodle cups are labelled and sealed, finishing the manufacturing process.
