The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pictorial diagram describe the process of how instant noodles are produced in the factory.

Overall, the process requires 8 steps, starting from storage of flour into storage silos to processing it through different equipments and ended after sealing and packing.

The process begins with storing flour into storage silos, after that the flour is charge into the mixer in which water and oil is added. Mixer machine mix the flour, oil and water uniformly and convert it into dough. The dough produced is allowed to pass through roller which converts it into dough sheets and then into dough strips.

These dough strips are further converted into circular disc called as noodles disc. Once the noodles disc are formed, it is dipped into cooking oil followed by drying. The noodles is then filled in a cup along with vegetables and spices to give it flavour. In the final stage, the cups are sealed and labelled.
