The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given diagram illustrates how instant noodles are manufactured through an eight-step process.

Overall, the whole process involves certain crucial steps commencing with the flour being stored followed by a dough preparation and lastly with the product being sealed.

First and foremost, the flour from a van is piped into spacious storage silos from where it is exported to the industry which is equipped with a mixer. Flour along with water and oil is added in the mixer which shapes them into a dough. The dough is then spread between rollers which produces dough sheets. The sheets are then cut into long and thin dough strips. The next step involves the formation of circular noodles discs.

The discs are fried in oil followed by an important step of drying, almost removing all of the greasiness. The discs are then packaged into cups by a machine in addition to other necessary ingredients such as spices and vegetables, essential for flavor. The last step includes putting labels on the packaged products which does not need manual labor and finally sealed.
