The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The diagram illustrates the production process of vegetable flavoured instant noodles in industrial scale.

Overall, the linear process includes eight steps, which are storing, mixing, preparing dough sheets, preparing dough strips, shaping noodles, cooking and drying, adding spices finally the labelling and sealing. The process begins with flour and ending with final product.

Inisially, the flour was storaged within the storage silos and it was trasnfered to the manufacturing process. At the begining, water and oil was added to the flour and mixing it by using mixture. Then after, mixture was delivered to dough sheet and strips making unit by using rollers. After that, noodles strips were shaped roud disc shaped.

At the sixth stage, the noodles discs were cooked in oil and the dried well. Meanwhile, instant noodles and the packet of vegetable spices were added to the each cup. After that the cups were labeld and sealed well.

Finally, the instant cup noodles product was delivered to further process. Manyacturing process was complecated but following the right flow.
